The town clerk of Barnstable is printing out emergency ballots for voters after a mechanical issue on Tuesday morning with the vault where ballots are stored and paper ballots are already on route to the 12 polling locations in town.The Secretary of the Commonwealth's elections division stated the opening of the polls are delayed in Barnstable and that workers are on-site attempting to open the vault. In the meantime, the town's voter clerk is printing new ballots for voters.'Paper ballots will be identical to machine-readable ballots, but will need to be hand-counted at the end of the night,' according to a tweet by the official account of the state's elections division office.
