Today (Tuesday) is Primary Election Day in the state of Massachusetts. While most polls opened at 7 am this morning, the Town of Barnstable faced a nightmarish situation. According to a Facebook post shared this morning, the Clerk's office was unable to open the vault that houses the election ballots. The Town of Barnstable assured voters that voting precincts would remain open, but residents would be unable to vote until the issue was resolved.
